Jaromir is the master of StartupYard’s budgets and contracts. He looks after the growing alumni network, while making sure that no new team enters the acceleration program without being thoroughly tested in their contract signing skills. He is renowned for taking delight in building complex excel spreadsheets and infamous for being pedantic when it comes to legal formulations and wordings. Having been bored by multinationals for way too long, Jaromir is a huge believer in the startup life and spirit.
Jaromir studied International Management (CEMS) at the University of Economics and Law at Charles University in Prague, taking exchange semesters in Management at the University of Cologne and Law at NOVA Southeastern University in Ford Lauderdale. In 2011, he joined Telefónica’s Aspire Graduate Program and spend the following three years on different assignments in finance, strategy and marketing in Prague and Munich. In 2014, Jaromir went over to Wayra CEE, the Prague-based branch of a global accelerator network and the only remaining business of Telefónica in the Czech Republic, where he took care of financial matters and portfolio valuation.
Passionate about live arts, Jaromir has been acting since he was 10 and he also plays the clarinet and saxophone. As a student, he used to work as a commentator for Czech Radio and now he strives to raise interest in journalism and politics in high school students. He runs a blog site Cukrousi.cz dedicated to Prague patisseries. Jaromir is a big fan of outdoor sports and his dream is to finish a marathon run in less than three hours.
