Philip Staehelin is the Founder & Chairman of DOT Glasses – a social enterprise solving the vision problem of the world’s 1 billion people that need glasses and can’t afford them. Previously, he served as a Managing Partner of Roland Berger, CEO of CCS (a CEE fuel card and telematics company), and held other executive roles in A.T. Kearney, T-Mobile, Accenture, and UniCredit Investment Bank. He served as StartupYard’s first Executive in Residence in 2015, and became a StartupYard co-owner later that year.

Philip is a Swiss-American who was born in New Zealand, and although he has been Prague-based for most of three decades, he has worked in more than a dozen countries around the world during his career. He holds an MBA from INSEAD (France) and a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado (USA). Currently he sits on the Board of Transparency International, is a Supervisory Board member of Sirius Investments, and is an ex-Board member of the fastest growing company in the Balkans (Gjirafa, a StartupYard alumni). He speaks English, Czech and German – and in case of dire need, he can even manage some French.
